A specialist on the design team.
We work alongside architects and interior designers as a fellow consultant, not as a contractor. Our drawings sit alongside yours. Our specifications are written in your titleblock. We attend your design meetings, answer your RFIs, and serve as the single point of contact for every technology question on the project. Your vision remains paramount.
A consultant who speaks your language.
Most technology firms produce parallel documentation that sits next to the architect's set. We do not. Our work is integrated — into your titleblock, your drawing schedule, your RFI tracker, your specification format — so the technology of the residence reads as part of the architecture, not bolted onto it.
A single, integrated document set.
Functional drawings issued in your titleblock, on your sheet schedule, at the same revision dates. Specifications written in your section format. Reflected ceiling plans coordinated with lighting; wall sections coordinated with millwork.
Speakers, panels & fixtures coordinated at drawing stage.
No surface-mount surprises in the field. Every speaker grille, panel cut-out, in-wall TV niche, sensor and thermostat located on the architectural drawings, agreed with the interior designer, and signed off before construction. (For the long version of how this is done, see our Field Note: Specifying Crestron in the architectural drawing set.)
One technical voice in every meeting.
A senior Intuitiv engineer attends your design meetings. Owner reviews. Site visits. RFIs flow through one inbox; revisions are issued on your schedule; a single person can answer any technology question put to them by the principal at any stage.
A senior engineer, not a sales channel.
Every conversation with Intuitiv is held with a senior engineer who can answer the technical questions on the table — not a business-development hand-off. Drawings, specifications and references are shared in good faith once a project is well-defined and the design team is in place.
The work is the introduction.
Engagements come through several channels — most often through the general contractor leading the residence, or through a fellow AV consultant who has worked with us before and brought us in. We have worked on residences led by Pritzker Prize and AIA Gold Medal architects, and the architect-led referral is the relationship we are deliberately building toward.
We do not pay referral fees. We do not advertise. We accept a small number of engagements each year, and the residences themselves are how the next conversation begins.
